About Meleia

Meleia exists for one moment: a patient has received a signed radiology report in a portal before their clinician has had a chance to discuss it with them. The technical language is confusing, and the wait for a callback is anxious. Meleia explains the written report in front of them, right then — clearly, and without overstepping what a report's words can support.

Not a thin chatbot wrapper

A generic AI assistant can already summarize a document if you know to ask it to, and if you know to double-check what it says against the original. Meleia is built to remove both of those requirements — no prompting needed, and every explanation checked against the source before you ever see it. That distinction is the whole product thesis, not a feature bullet:

  • A promptless, radiology-native interface — not a chat box waiting for you to know the right question.
  • Evidence mapping from every important statement to its exact source sentence, so nothing is a black box.
  • Explicit separation of report facts, plain-language restatements, general education, calculations, and clinician questions — never blended into one undifferentiated answer.
  • Deterministic, source-bound follow-up extraction and due-window calculation — dates are calculated, never guessed.
  • A complete action loop: a clinician-message draft, calendar and reminders, caregiver sharing, and status tracking through to completion.
  • Public, versioned, radiology-specific safety evaluations, not just a claim of accuracy.
  • Anonymous use and minimal retention by default.

What success looks like

Meleia succeeds when it helps someone understand what their written report says, locate the evidence behind every explanation, recognize genuine uncertainty for what it is, prepare specific questions, identify any explicit written recommendation, and act on it — messaging a clinician or setting a reminder — through to a self-reported completion. That user-reported follow-through, never a clinical outcome Meleia can't verify, is the north star this product is measured against.

A note on who built this

Meleia explains the written text of your radiology report for educational purposes. It is not a diagnostic tool, does not analyze medical images, and does not replace your clinician's judgment.

This page intentionally does not include a founder biography or team story: nothing about who built Meleia is claimed here beyond what the product itself demonstrates. See Safety for the specific boundaries this product holds itself to, and Impact for its published evaluation results.
